![]() ![]() Not using the wind arrow means you usually add elevation to shots (e.g. The fundamental difference between using the wind arrow or not relates to secondary wind effect moreso than elevation. Based on your limiting its use, it may be the safest approach, especially with the rough bump shots in the Winter Classic. I'm leaning toward Option A and leaving the wind arrow alone. I just watched another YT streamer (Ben/BK Golf Clash) who calls out his rings adjusted with each shot, along with elevation used, and in two instances in the Winter Classic Expert first round qualifier, the # of rings he called out was consistent with Option A, or not using the wind arrow feature at all. Or even at 0% elevation, 12.5 rings would have likely been too much. At 10% elevation, 13.7 rings would have been too much. When I took this shot, I fell way short and into the sand. When I entered P2, 15% elevation, Sniper, 10.8 MPH and used the wind arrow to point straight up, Wind Assist shows Mid distance at 14.3 rings. Kim aay's video for this hole recommends that with cross- or tailwinds, 9MPH 15% elevation. P2 ball (Katana), Sniper, MID distance, and with a straight tailwind of 10.8 MPH. Milano #7 is one shootout hole that sort of launched me into looking into trying to figure this out. It appears to me that Kim aay pulls back between 7.5-8 rings, so I'm guessing A or B is correct, and that you should never use both elevation and indicate the wind direction (C). Using the shot Kim aay gets the HOI (1:52 mark), the wind is 7.1 MPH cross/tail wind, what option below is the correct way to use the app to replicate the shot?Ī) P2 ball, indicate 20% elevation, Sniper, wind arrow is crossed out ( do not use) = 7.6 rings MID Distanceī) P2 ball, indicate 0% elevation, Sniper, adjust wind arrow to be pointing 45 degrees cross/tail wind = 7.4 ringsĬ) P2 ball, indicate 20% elevation, Sniper, and adjust wind arrow to be pointing 45 degrees cross/tail wind = 8.8 rings Here's an example hole, Glenmarch #7: Link I've tried to watch some of ZJ's videos from a couple years back, but they don't seem to show the step by step way to use the app on any given shot. Trying to figure out how to use Notebook for GC Wind Assist overlay app correctly. GolfClashTommy's "Video Guides For All Tours (2-11)" Post and his video Guide for 47 Shootouts post.
